Hollingworth Lake Walk. One of the long time members of HAWC, Donna Edwards, will once again attempt a sponsored walk around the shores of the lake north of Rochdale date to be arranged. Anyone who has met Donna will be aware of the difficulties she overcomes in order to perform this task and we are sure that she would welcome your support both financially and morally. Sponsored Truck-Pull On Sunday 28th September 2008 a team of volunteers will endeavour to haul a 6 ton truck from the centre of Manchester to the Railway Inn Dean Lane. The 'pullers' will be accompanied by a team of 'collectors who will be trying to add to the sums already pledged to support the effort. The event is being organised by the charities Fund Raising manager Moe Ijaz who can be contacted on 0788 598 6894 if you wish to volunteer or would like to sponsor the team. Freefall Tandem Sky-Dive A small number of volunteers will be raising funds for HAWC when they perform a tandem freefall descent from the base at Hibalstow, Lincolnshire in September 2008. Annual HAWC Dinner This event will take place at the Copthorne Hotel, Salford Quays, Manchester on Saturday 25th October 2008 in the presence of our patron of eleven years, Gaby Roslin.
